After the show, you may choose from three optional post-show tours which build on one another to allow you to explore more of Australia.


The first tour runs from 25th - 27th March, travelling to Uluru with a two-night stay at the Desert Gardens Hotel.  The second tour extends this journey from 25th-30th March continuing on from Uluru to Queensland for a three-night stay at the Sheraton Mirage Resort. The third, and most comprehensive, option runs from 30th March - 5th April travelling on from Queensland to Melbourne for a three-nights stay at the Rendezvous Hotel and in Perth where you will stay for three nights at the Westin Hotel

Please note that Tours 1 and 2 return to the UK from Sydney, while Tour 3 returns from Perth.

16:00 - Guided Garden Walk – an Indigenous guide will lead a walk around the Resort Gardens, highlighting the seasonal local flora, bush foods, trees native to Australia and the medicines traditionally used. Approx. 45 min duration.

EVENING EXCURSION – ULURU SUNSET TOUR 

17:30 - transfer to the sunset viewing platform to see the spectacular changing colours of Uluru as the sun sets. Refreshments are served (antipasto shared platter with a selection of vegetables, cheese, crackers, and dips with sparkling/red/white wine/orange juice).

Return to hotel approx. 30 minutes after sunset.

Day 16               Friday 26th March (Good Friday)

EXCURSION - SACRED SITES & BASE

09:00 approx. - depart the hotel on a morning tour to the base of Uluru inside the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Rising 348 metres above the desert, Uluru's landscapes have been central to Anangu culture and enchanted visitors for millennia. Visit sacred sites and take a short walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole where you will explore tjukuritja (physical evidence) of the Mala Tjukurpa (creation story) and gain a deeper understanding of this ancient story. (Approx 3 hours)

Afternoon free time

Relax, swim in the hotel pool, visit the Gallery of Central Australia or join one of the complimentary indigenous activities offered at the resort.

14:30 Optional small group tour to Kata Tjuta – 3hr duration. Includes: professional guide, 1 x bottle water and refill water. Please note, due to the heat this is a modified tour not including walpa gorge walk.

Travel to Kata Tjuta where your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment. Stop at the Southern Dune viewing platform for panoramic views of Kata Tjuta and Uluru in the distance. Then travel closer to Kata Tjuta and, from the Western lookout, you will learn about these mighty conglomerate domes and how they have eroded over millions of years. Finally, take a short drive on the famous Great Central Road to the western boundary of the National Park before returning to the resort, arriving back in time for any dinner experiences you may have planned.

18:30 - Optional tour: Evening Field of Light star pass - 2.5hrs duration. Includes: canapés. sunset drinks and return coach transfers. 

Experience Bruce Munro's esteemed Field of Light exhibition. The tour commences with a convenient hotel pick-up, followed by a brief transfer to a remote desert site offering views of Uluru. Guests are invited to explore a carefully curated installation featuring 50,000 solar-powered stems, each topped with a radiant frosted glass sphere that responds subtly to wind and illuminates the Uluru landscape. Covering an area equivalent to seven football fields, Uluru Field of Light is the largest installation in Bruce Munro’s portfolio.

Departs 30 mins prior to sunset. Return to the resort around 20:45

EXCURSION  - ULURU SUNRISE

05:00 – depart for the Sunrise viewing area to watch the incredible spectacle of sunrise in the desert. The rock formations change colour before your eyes as the sunlight plays with the landscape and shade dances on the surface of the rocks. Coffee/tea/biscuits are served at the platform

07:15 - return to the hotel for breakfast

17:00 -transfer to Port Douglas Marina and set sail on a catamaran to soak up the tranquillity of a tropical sunset over the Coral Sea. The 90-minute journey along the coast includes a  welcome drink and canapes. (There is a fully licenced bar onboard for additional drinks.)

DAY 17             Sunday 28th March  (EASTER SUNDAY)

EXCURSION – GREAT BARRIER REEF (Full day)

09:00 approx – transfer from your hotel to the Marina

Experience the dazzling kaleidoscope of colour of the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Depart Port Douglas harbour by wave-piercing catamaran and voyage to the Agincourt Reef, a magnificent ribbon reef with clear water, rich coral and spectacular marine life. Disembark onto a large pontoon with a viewing platform a meter above the reef and an underwater observatory where you can view the reef without even getting wet! There are options to snorkel (gear provided) and a friendly team of safety officers can give tips and advice. The Semi-Sub Coral Viewing Tour will glide through reef lagoons and coral gardens, enabling visitors to view the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef while staying dry and in air-conditioned comfort. The tour is accompanied by an informative commentary. 

Lunch - a hot and cold tropical buffet lunch will be served on the platform . There are full bar facilities where drinks can be purchased.

15:00 - the catamaran returns to Port Douglas

16:30 – arrive Port Douglas Marina and transfer to hotel

EXCURSION: – KOALA BREAKFAST & WILDLIFE ADVENTURE

07:45 – depart hotel for Hartley’s Wildlife Adventures

A unique breakfast experience overlooking a beautiful lagoon at a crocodile farm and wildlife centre near Port Douglas. A wildlife keeper will be on the deck with a Koala from 09:00 as you enjoy a cooked breakfast. This is a great time to ask questions, meet a Koala and take photos. (Please note – holding the koalas is not allowed, this is an opportunity for a close encounter and to learn about them from their keepers).

At 09.30 you will enjoy a fully escorted private group guided tour with one of the experienced wildlife keepers. Meet the koalas, see and feed the wallabies and kangaroos.

OPTIONAL TOUR - DAINTREE RAINFOREST NATIONAL PARK 

Visit Mossman Gorge in the Daintree rain forest, which has more ancient families of flowering plants than anywhere else in the world. The Ribbonwood (aka Idiot Fruit) is one of the rarest and most primitive plants dating back 110million years and may be flowering if found at this time of year (the end of wet season). Look out for cassowary’s, rare species of possums and tree kangaroos, birds and chameleons.

The Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre is an award-winning ecotourism facility conveniently located at the entrance to the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. Learn about local Indigenous art and culture at the onsite gallery.

Please note. the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, shuttle bus and the main boardwalk (Baral Marrjanga) are designed to be accessible for people with mobility limitations. The lower river track, the beach area, and the Rex Creek bridge track are not easily accessible due to steps, uneven terrain or lack of ramps).

 OPTION 2 -  Indigenous Dreamtime Ngadiku guided walk, conducted by Kuku Yalanji people, which explores culturally significant sites along gentle tracks. Additional cost £85 /person Min numbers 10

14:00 - the 90-minute Dreamtime Walk begins with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony to cleanse and ward off bad spirits, after which you will enjoy a meandering stroll through lush rainforest. Traditional plant use, bush food sources and enchanting narratives of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment will be demonstrated. Discover traditions such as bush soap making and ochre painting. At the end of the tour, enjoy traditional bush tea and damper – the perfect treat after your journey. 

Please note the level/grade of the walk is classified as easy, however the track can have uneven terrain, be slippery in wet weather conditions and has some inclines. The tour itself is broken up with interpretive talks and demonstrations. We advise guests to wear appropriate footwear and stay well hydrated before, during and after their walk.

Guests are invited to explore a carefully curated installation featuring 50,000 solar-powered stems, each topped with a radiant frosted glass sphere that responds subtly to wind and illuminates the Uluru landscape. Covering an area equivalent to seven football fields, Uluru Field of Light is the largest installation in Bruce Munro’s portfolio.

EXCURSION  - ULURU SUNRISE

05:00 – depart for the Sunrise viewing area to watch the incredible spectacle of sunrise in the desert. The rock formations change colour before your eyes as the sunlight plays with the landscape and shade dances on the surface of the rocks.  Coffee/tea/biscuits are served at the platform

07:15 - return to hotel for breakfast

Transfer by private coach from Cairns Airport to Port Douglas. A local guide will meet you at the airport and provide commentary about the area as you travel to your hotel.

17:00 -transfer to Port Douglas Marina and set sail on a catamaran to soak up the tranquillity of a tropical sunset over the Coral Sea. The 90-minute journey along the coast includes a  welcome drink and canapes. (There is a fully licenced bar onboard for additional drinks.)

DAY 17              Sunday 28th March (Easter Sunday)

EXCURSION – GREAT BARRIER REEF (Full day)

09:00 approx. - transfer from hotel to the Marina

Experience the dazzling kaleidoscope of colour of the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Depart Port Douglas harbour by wave-piercing catamaran and voyage to the Agincourt Reef, a magnificent ribbon reef with clear water, rich coral and spectacular marine life. Disembark onto a large pontoon with viewing platform a meter above the reef and an underwater observatory where you can view the reef without even getting wet! There are options to snorkel (gear provided) and a friendly team of safety officers can give tips and advice. The Semi-Sub Coral Viewing Tour will glide through reef lagoons and coral gardens, enabling visitors to view the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef while staying dry and in air-conditioned comfort. The tour is accompanied by an informed commentary.

Lunch - a hot and cold tropical buffet lunch will be served on the platform. There are full bar facilities where drinks can be purchased.

15:00 - the catamaran returns to Port Douglas

16:30 – arrive Port Douglas Marina and transfer to your hotel

DAY 18              Monday 29th March

EXCURSION: – KOALA BREAKFAST & WILDLIFE ADVENTURE

07:45 – depart hotel for Hartley’s Wildlife Adventures

A unique breakfast experience overlooking a beautiful lagoon at a crocodile farm and wildlife centre near Port Douglas. A wildlife keeper will be on the deck with a Koala from 09:00 as you enjoy a cooked breakfast. This is a great time to ask questions, meet a Koala and take photos. (Please note – holding the koalas is not allowed, this is an opportunity for a close encounter and to learn about them from their keepers).

At 9.30am, enjoy a fully escorted private group guided tour with one of the experienced wildlife keepers. Meet the koalas, see and feed the wallabies and kangaroos, explore the centre and see some captivating presentations – witness the powerful jaws of a crocodile. You will also take a serene boat cruise across the lagoon.

12:00 - BBQ lunch

12:45 - depart Hartleys and return to hotel OR  continue on the next tour:-

OPTIONAL TOUR - DAINTREE RAINFOREST NATIONAL PARK

Visit Mossman Gorge in the Daintree rain forest which has more ancient families of flowering plants than anywhere else in the world. The Ribbonwood (aka Idiot Fruit) is one of the rarest and most primitive plants dating back 110million years and may be flowering if found at this time of year (the end of wet season).  Look out for cassowary’s, rare species of possums and tree kangaroos, birds and chameleons

The Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre is an award-winning ecotourism facility conveniently located at the entrance to the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. Learn about local Indigenous art and culture at the onsite gallery.

Please note – The Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, shuttle bus and the main boardwalk (Baral Marrjanga) are designed to be accessible for people with mobility limitations. The lower river track, the beach area and the Rex Creek bridge track are not easily accessible due to steps, uneven terrain or lack of ramps).

Indigenous Dreamtime Ngadiku guided walk, conducted by Kuku Yalanji people. This tour explores culturally significant sites along gentle tracks. £85/person

14:00 - the 90-minute Dreamtime Walk begins with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony to cleanse and ward off bad spirits and is followed by a meandering stroll through lush rainforest. Traditional plant use, bush food sources and enchanting narratives of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment will be demonstrated. Discover traditions such as bush soap making and ochre painting. At the end of the tour, enjoy traditional bush tea and damper – the perfect treat after your journey. 

 Please note the level/grade of the walk is classified as easy, however the track can have uneven terrain, be slippery in wet weather conditions and has some inclines. The tour itself is broken up with interpretive talks and demonstrations. We advise guests to wear appropriate footwear and stay well hydrated before, during and after their walk.

16:00 - return to Port Douglas accommodation. The remainder today is at leisure.

09:00 approx. - check out and return to Cairns airport for your flight to Melbourne

 EXCURSION  - Puffing Billy, Cloudehill & Yarra Valley

Embark on a full-day escape to the Yarra Valley, one of Victoria’s premier wine regions, renowned for its rolling vineyards, boutique wineries and stunning natural beauty.

08:15 approx. - depart hotel for Belgrave Train Station

10:00 - ride the Puffing Billy, one of the best kept steam railways in the world. The restored century-old steam train whistles its way through Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges past towering mountain ash, fern-lined gullies, and storybook bridges. Opt (if you dare!) to follow tradition and sit on the breezy sills of open-sided carriages for an uninterrupted view of the lush eucalyptus-scented forest.  Arrive at Lakeside Station 60 minutes later and re-board the coach.

11:30-13:45 - transfer to Cloudehilll for a guided tour of 25 beautifully designed gardens set in one of the world's finest areas for cool climate gardening.

Each garden has its own character and season of interest. Expect to see autumn effects opening and softening the perennial borders.

Continue to the Yarra Valley for a sparkling wine tasting and guided tour at award-winning, premium winery, Domaine Chandon Vineyard. You will learn about the region’s viticulture from expert sommeliers and enjoy a curated tasting of cool-climate varietals, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz

              Free time in Fremantle, approx. 1.5 hours

14:00 - meet your local guide and board coach for the return to Perth, passing highlights of the city. The tour will stop at Kings Park, one of the world’s largest inner-city parks, overlooking the Swan River and Perth skyline. Explore the Botanic Garden, showcasing Western Australia’s unique flora, from vibrant wildflowers to rare species. Stroll scenic trails, visit the DNA Tower and take in breathtaking views.

Please note, this is a self-guided tour – your local guide has good general knowledge but is not a botanic expert.

  • Callistemon (Bottlebrushes): Known for their distinctive brush-like flowers, these plants continue to bloom in April, attracting various bird species.
  • Grevillea species: Many Grevillea varieties, such as Grevillea 'Eleanor', display soft pink blooms throughout the year, including April.
  • Hakea laurina (Pincushion Hakea): This plant is renowned for its spherical pink flowers, resembling pincushions, and is in bloom during April.
  • Everlastings (Xerochrysum species): These resilient flowers maintain their colour and shape even after drying, making them a notable feature in the park during April.
  • Spider, Pansy, and Cowslip Orchids: These native orchids can still be spotted in the park during April, adding delicate beauty to the landscape.
  • Eucalyptus kruseana: This species, known for its unique foliage and flowers, continues to be a highlight in the park during April.
