Singapore's Gardens by the Bay is one of the Top 10 Indoor Gardens of the World, blooming with an extraordinary million plus plants from more than 5,000 species. It's claim to be ‘a green gem where wonder blooms’ is no exaggeration.

Gardens by the Bay comprises three distinctive waterfront gardens — Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central - and, while all three are well worth visiting, it’s the award-winning cooled conservatories and towering Supertrees of Bay South that have made this urban oasis famous across the globe. Here is a taste of the blooming wonders that await:

The Flower Dome

This innovative – and vast (it holds the Guinness World Record for the largest glass greenhouse) conservatory literally brings the world’s flora under one roof. Get up-close to unusual plants native to a range of unique habitats from the Mediterranean region to South African savannahs and arid deserts. Amongst the must-see trees and plants that grow here are the Baobabs with their distinctive bottle-shaped trunks. The African Baobab is the largest tree in the Gardens.

The Cloud Forest

Home to one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfalls and a lush mountain clad with plants from around the world, Cloud Forest takes visitors on a fascinating journey of discovery through vegetation found 2,000 meters above sea level. As you make your way up the mountain and along its unique aerial walkways, look out for carnivorous plants such as pitcher plants and Venus Flytraps set against a verdant carpet of delicate ferns and mosses — all while enjoying spectacular views of the Marina Bay waterfront.

Supertree Grove

Come face to face with 12 of the Gardens' 18 Supertrees at the Supertree Grove. Rising up to 50 metres above ground, these iconic giants provide shade in the day and come alive with an exhilarating light and musical show at night. More than just futuristic-looking structures, the Supertrees are sustainable vertical gardens housing over 162,900 plants from more than 200 species including gorgeous bromeliads, ferns, orchids and tropical climbers. Those with a head for heights may like to stroll along the 22m high Skyway built in the Supertrees and enjoy panoramic views of the Gardens and Marina Bay skyline.
