Bottle for Change in India

Our India programmes are created in collaboration with Sita Travels, India's leading Destination Management Company whose depth of knowledge and passion for revealing the authentic character of each destination is second to none. Sita is also committed to sustainable, responsible travel, a philosophy we share, which is why we are delighted to be supporting their new initiative, Bottle for Change. 

Bottle for Change aims to reduce single-use plastic by encouraging travellers to switch to reusable, double layered stainless steel vacuum water bottles on their Indian adventures. The bottles are BPA free, leak proof, rust resistant and will retain heat for 18 hours and stay cold for 24 hours. Each guest is given their own packed and sealed bottle at the start of their holiday which they can refill from the 20-litre mineral water container carried by Sita's vehicles. These containers are replenished from authorised outlets so you can be sure that the water is always fresh and clean. 

Eighty per cent of plastic water bottles end up in landfill where they take 450 years to break down, so a change from plastic bottles to steel tumblers can make a significant impact to the environment and help to reduce emissions. That's why we are helping Sita to fund this important project. It won't be long before guests travelling on our Indian adventures will be presented with an ECT Travel branded Bottle for Change. As well as contributing to our collective goal of making travel a force for good, the bottle is also a unique memento of your incredible India holiday.
