FROM THE SINGAPORE GARDEN FESTIVAL TO FLORIADE 

There are so many wonderful global gardens shows and events to experience, from the biennial Singapore Garden Festival to Floralia in Belgium (held every four years in Ghent since 1808) and the impressive Floriade Expo in the Netherlands. Every ten years, Floriade brings together the most innovative and creative examples of landscaping and green excellence in a celebration of horticultural excellence. The next Floriade takes place in 2022 and will have the theme 'Growing Green Cities’, offer inspiring ideas about future green cities and sustainability.

Undoubtedly one of our most popular garden destinations each year is Keukenhof, the largest flowering garden in the world featuring an incredible array of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and many other Spring flowering spectacles of colour and heady scents. Having been at the heart of the garden industry for hundreds of years, The Netherlands offers the garden traveller an array of other interesting visits, from Hortus Botanicus in Leiden and live flower auctions in Aalsmeer, to intimate private gardens in Amsterdam that date back to The Dutch Golden Age.

We also find many of you like to visit private gardens and enjoy talks by head gardeners and plant experts when travelling to gardens. From meeting the head grower at David Austin Roses to a guided tour of a private roof-top garden in South East Asia (the largest!), we love finding hidden gems to excite garden and plant aficionados and amateurs alike.
