Cheshire and the surrounding area has an abundance of beautiful, landscaped gardens. This tour takes in no less than five garden visits.
Based in the North West corner of England, Cheshire is a mainly rural county with a high concentration of villages. The area, therefore, provides an attractive touring base, offering some exceptional examples of ornate and opulent gardens to visit.
This 3 day Tour will include visits to the following gardens:
Cholmondeley Castle - described as one of the most 'romantically beautiful' gardens, providing a wonderful display of all-year planting.
Tatton Park National Trust Garden - Set in a landscaped deer-park, Tatton Park's Victorian grandeur extends into the garden with an Orangery, Rose Garden, Italian Garden and Japanese Garden providing colour all year round.
Arley Hall and Gardens - Arley Hall is a place of enormous character, charm and interest, providing an immaculate garden, which mixes traditional design with modern ideas and features.
Dorothy Clive Garden - This superb woodland garden offers a cascading waterfall, an apline scree and spectacular summer borders. Both inspirational and stunning.
Biddulph Grange National Trust Gardens - Biddulph Grange offers unusual and unique features such as upside-down trees, Egyptian Court, a formal Italian Garden and a tranquil Chinese garden.
