Keukenhof
Open 22 March - 22 May 2012
Keukenhof in Holland is not only the world's largest garden park, it is reputedly the world's most beautiful! When you see it you will understand why it has this coveted reputation and has remained one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands over the last 60 years.
Over 7 million flowers in glorious arrangements make walking through Keukenhof akin to living an 'Alice in Wonderland' adventure for any visiting florist. There is plenty to experience in the enormous 32 hectare park if you follow its 15 kilometres of winding footpaths.
There is nowhere better in the world to experience the floral splendour of Spring with arrays of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other bulbs emphasised with awe inspiring works of art.
The theme for 2012 is Poland: the Spirit of Solidarity which will be interpreted in romantic, classical styles throughout the parks dsiplays. The year 2012’s line-up of events at Keukenhof include a Chopin weekend, A Dutch costume festival, a bird of prey show, an Easter hat parade, artists at work, the Flower Parade of the bulb region and much, much more…
A visit to Bruges is also included in the weekend tour.
