Prague - this cosmopolitan capital city of the Czech Republic is renowned for music, culture and entertainment.
Don’t miss…
Prague is a city that has so much to offer.
It is visually beautiful with a heady mix of old and new architecture and there is a sense that its wonderful visual diversity has been forged from being at the cross roads of Europeon culture and history.
There are over 4000 monuments in this city, ancient castles and enchanting streets, churches and historic locations.
Amongst the innumerable cultural icons for sightseeing is the impressive Prague Castle, the biggest ancient castle in the world and within its complex is the Saint Vitus Cathedral which towers above the city skyline. In here you will find royal tombs and crown jewels.
The haunting image of Charles Bridge with its gauntlet of black statues is an arresting vision that has inspired photographers and painters from around the world and it is a must for any visit to this city.
Venturing to the Old Town Square you will step back in time 700 years, and here you can see sights such as the Old Town Hall Tower and Astronomical clock and the church of Our Lady before Tyn.
There is a vibrant café and bar culture and you are never more than a few feet away from a good place to eat.
The Jewish Quarter is also a sightseeing venue not easily forgotten as you can explore the ornate synagogues, the cemetery crammed with gravestones and the streets of the former Jewish Ghetto. Sometimes walking through Prague can feel like literally walking through the layers of history.
But Prague is a city with two hearts, the old and the new. The metropolitan side of Prague is contemporary and has the finest shopping, some inspired modern architecture and whether you are in the bustle of Wencelas Square or simply wondering through parts of the New Town you are spoilt for experiences and sights to take in.
