Amsterdam and Bruges
A city famous for its spectacular 17th Century architecture, and supreme museums.
Amsterdam is a city constantly on the move with many fascinating and varied areas to explore.
Centred around the Dam Square, with origins dating back to the 13th Century, this vibrant city is abundant with historic buildings, shops, bars and restaurants.
Museums and Art Galleries are in no shortage, ranging from the Van Gogh to the Anne Frank Museum.
Most of Amsterdam's many attractions are close to the water, so sightseeing is simple, not only by foot or tram, but also by a leisurely cruise on the canals.
Known as 'the Venice of the North', the heart of Bruges is surrounded by a ring of canals. A 'picture postcard' town, it is the best preserved example of medieval Flanders, making it the favourite destination in Belgium.
